Award-Winning in Great Company

I was notified yesterday that my cozy mystery, TEXAS DEAD had been named a winner in the (NIEA) National Indie Excellence Awards. That made four awards for the novel, more an affirmation that something must be good with the book(s).

And then I saw that Gregory Erich Phillips, one of our cover interviews for the June 2022 issue of Books & Pieces Magazine had also won the NIEA award in a different category for A SEASON OF LIGHTS. In a way that made my win even better being in great company.

Are awards worth having? Many people question the validity of awards, however with the thousands of entries to be selected means something. It is a metric of recognition, granted just one of many, but nonetheless a valid recognition. And it feels great when you win.

Congratulations to Gregory Erich Phillips. Read the interview with him in our June issue HERE. There are links to his books.

And if you haven’t read my novel TEXAS DEAD, you can do so at my website, www.MisterWriter.com or read it FREE on Kindle Unlmited HERE.
